During his four years in college, David shot his photographic essay, "Keeping the Faith: Photographs of Catholic School Children." Upon graduation, David did not pursue
photojournalism, but went into the motion picture industry where he worked as an assistant cameraman. Some of the productions he worked on include: Law & Order,
New York News (with Mary Tyler Moore),
Rear Window (with Christopher Reeve), Stuart Little 2 and Billy Joel Live at Yankee Stadium. He also wrote jokes for Jay Leno.
